Morning Apple Healthy Smoothie

Even in the winter, most of us can find delicious apples at the store or fruit stands.  And, keeping in mind that “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” many of us buy them automatically.  Tomorrow morning, mix it up a bit and combine a delicious tart apple with orange juice and bananas-it will definitely be a treat you will want to keep on your favorite breakfast list!  In your blender mix:

1 cup of frozen bananas

1 tart Granny Smith green apple peeled, cored and cut in chunks *

1 cup of orange juiceapple

1 teaspoon of Mila for Omega 3′s

Blend until smooth and serve

* If you like you can keep the skin on the apple-it is a personal preference.
