Here, “green” doesn’t refer to the environmental movement, but to the color. This Avocado smoothie includes green grapes as well and both are just wonderful shades of green. The recipe also has a Pear which is, I admit, more yellow than green, but it goes really well in this recipe and so gets included!
This recipe is a favorite of ours because it contains so much nutrition in a really tasty smoothie. You can also add Chia seed for even more nutrition. Because Chia has no notable flavor of its own it goes well in almost any smoothie recipe, including this one. Full of omega-3 fatty acids and other good stuff, the Chia herb is a good supplement to keep on hand. And, Chia has no real discernible taste of its own so adding it this, or just about any other recipe, won’t change the taste results at sll.
