Low in calories and high in fruit nutrition. This Banana Pear smoothie is both tasty and works really well in any smoothie diet!
In your smoothie blender, mix:
- 1 banana cut in chunks or 3/4 cup frozen banana
- 1 pear cored/seeded and cut in chunks or 3/4 cup of frozen or canned pears
- 2 cups fresh spinach (or other leafy green)
- 1 carton low-fat plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of chia seed
You might need to add a handful of ice cubes to blend your smoothie, but it will depend on the ripeness of the fruit or if you are using frozen fruit. After mixing the basic ingredients, add one or two ice cubes as needed.
