

Fruit markets and grocery stores always seem to have apples and bananas. Many people will buy bunches of bananas or a bag of apples, not use them quick enough -and be tempted to throw away since they get a bit mushy. But you don’t have to. Instead-grab the bananas and apples even if they are a little soft and mix with yogurt for a healthy yogurt smoothie mix.
Mix in your smoothie blender:
-1 banana cut in chunks
-1 apple cored-seeded and cut in chunks (you can leave the skin or remove)
-1 cup of low-fat vanilla yogurt
-1 teaspoon of Chia Seed
You might need to add some juice (any flavor, apple, orange, carrot to blend to a better consistency) and even a tablespoon of honey if you have a sweet tooth!
