Blueberry, Orange, Spinach Yogurt Green Smoothie Mix

Green smoothies are so delicious!  Don’t let the color of the drink influence if you will drink it or not.   Healthy, tasty and often low in calories while rich with nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants-a healthy green smoothie might be a “must have” at least once a week.  Here is an easy one to make.  In your smoothie blender mix:

1cup of frozen banana chunks or 2 medium ripe bananas
1 seedless orange, without skin, cut in chunks
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1 cup of fresh spinach  (full cup)
1 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt

A quick note:  The texture and ripeness of fruits and vegetables often will be the key to the thickness of your smoothie.  If your smoothie is too thick, just add a little juice or a couple of ice cubes with the smoothie ingredients and mix until it is the consistency you like best.
