

Memorial Day, summer’s kick off is well-known for wonderful barbecues -and this year you can add refreshing lime kiwi smoothies to your menu! Not only is a healthy smoothie mix the perfect way to add fruit nutrition to your weekend partying, it is also a wonderful, refreshing meal choice for people who are counting calories to lose weight. In your smoothie blender mix:
Juice of 1 lime (fresh or concentrate, but fresh does add wonderful pulp that adds texture to your smoothie) (1/4 cup of lime juice is about 15 calories)
2-3 kiwi fruit, cut in chunks (some people like the skin, others remove it) Add as many as you like depending on the size. If I am making this smoothie for a desert I will usually use 3 kiwis so it is a bit thicker (each kiwi is about 25 calories).
1 container of Dannon Light and Fit Key Lime Yogurt (only 80 calories)
