Don’t worry about finding fresh fruit to make this mixed berry smoothie.  This is one that is actually all made right from your grocer’s freezer!  That means if you an urge, no matter what time of day, you can make a delicious berry smoothie that is perfect for satisfying that sweet tooth! And, because the ingredients are all low in fat and calories, this is a good recipe to include in a smoothie diet

In your blender mix:

A combination of 2 ½ cups of frozen

  • Strawberries (about 1 cup)
  • Blueberries  (about ¾ cup)
  • Raspberries  (about ½ cup)
  • ½ cup of cranberry juice
  • 2 cups low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. honey (optional)

The amounts here are only recommendations. Feel free to experiment to come up with the mix that suits you best

If you add a tsp. of Chia seed to this mix, you turn this mixed berry smoothie into a nutrition loaded health drink complete with the very important omega-3 fatty acids.
