Pear and Strawberry Fruit Smoothie

Now that fall is here and the weather is turning cooler, its time to whip up some smoothies with seasonal fruit. Pears are a wonderful winter fruit rich in Vitamins, A, C and potassium.  Add some strawberries and honey for a delicious sweet touch and a teaspoon of Chia seed to provide omega 3’s and antioxidants and this easy to make fruit smoothie will be a “must make!”

  • 1 pear, cored cut
  • ¼ cup of strawberries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup of low-fat yogurt (vanilla or pear)
  • ¼ cup of milk (2%, low-fat or soy)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Chia seed
  • ¼-1/2 cup ice
