Prunes have a bad reputation is being a fruit that is meant only for senior citizens with constipation. But, a prune is nothing more than a dried plum and plums are high in both dietary fiber and antioxidants. Be adventurous and give this Prune and Banana smoothie a try. It’s super easy to make and delicious as well.
In your smoothie blender mix:
1 banana
5 prunes (If it makes you feel better you can refer to them as “dried plums”!}
¼ cup of orange juice
½ cup of plain lowfat yogurt
1 tablespoon Chia Seed
If you freeze the banana (cut and peel it first) and use cold Orange Juice you will have a much colder
smoothie
