You can tell when a papaya is ripe when the skin is yellow and the pulp is a soft orange color. Rich with vitamin C, papayas can be cut up and mixed with a wide array of other fruits to make a very refreshing smoothie.
1 papaya, peeled, seeded and cut in chunks
1 cup of mango juice cup (or papaya, peach or apricot-your choice)
2 Tablespoons of honey
1 Tablespoon lime juice
½-1 cup of ice
Start with ½ cup of ice and add more if you need to for a better consistency.
